Wheelchair & Mobility Equipment Cleaning Services

Professional cleaning and steam sanitation across the Perth metropolitan area, carried out in your home. The cost is confirmed with you before the work goes ahead, and no payment is taken through this website.

Single item

One wheelchair or item of equipment

  • About 90 minutes
  • Invoiced after the visit

A full clean of one item — wheelchair, scooter, commode, shower chair or similar.

  • Equipment dismantled and reassembled
  • Deep clean and steam sanitation
  • Frame, wheels, castors and fittings
  • Seating, backrest and contact surfaces
  • Checked over before it is handed back
Two or more items

Multiple items, one visit

  • Time scaled to the number of items
  • One appointment, one invoice

Cleaning several pieces of equipment during the same visit reduces the rate for every item.

  • Everything included in a single clean
  • Applied to every item cleaned that day
  • Wheelchair plus one other aid in the same visit
  • Simpler to arrange than two separate appointments
  • Good for households or shared equipment

How long it takes. A single wheelchair appointment is normally allowed about 90 minutes. That covers dismantling, cleaning, steam sanitation and drying time where it is needed. Additional items extend the visit accordingly.

How payment works. No card details are requested at any point. Kerry will confirm the cost with you before the work goes ahead, and an invoice is issued afterwards — addressed to you or to your plan manager. See NDIS & funding for more detail.

The method

Why steam, and why take it apart

Steam cleaning uses heat and moisture rather than heavy chemical cleaners, which matters when equipment is in constant contact with skin.

Dismantling matters just as much. The places that most need cleaning — inside castor housings, along frame joints, under seat rails — cannot be reached with the equipment assembled.

  • Reaches joints, seams and fittings a wipe-down cannot
  • Reduces reliance on harsh chemical cleaners
  • Gives a proper look at the condition of the equipment
  • Everything is dried and refitted before it is handed back
